She attended South Colonie Schools, graduating from Colonie Central High School in 1971.  Suzanne was passionate about the French language and culture from a young age, and went on to study and attain fluency at the University at Albany. She graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor’s degree in French with an emphasis on teaching. After graduating, Suzanne worked for many years as a customer service representative for Travelers Insurance, along with other insurance companies in the Capital District.  She also worked for a number of years as a sales associate in Housewares at Macy’s in Colonie Center. In recent years, Sue was an active member and Volunteer Office Manager at her Church, Christ Church United Methodist in Troy, developing a close friendship with other parishioners and Pastor Janet Douglass. She participated in many of the church’s musical groups, and was a member of the staff Parish Committee. She enjoyed working in worship planning and often read scriptures during church services.

Sue loved animals, especially the many cats she had as companions over the years, and in her free time she enjoyed reading, baking, sewing and crocheting. Sue took great joy in helping others, and could often be found volunteering with the other members of the church. Those who knew her know well that she always put loved ones ahead of herself in times of need, and she will be remembered for her generosity, selflessness and kindness. The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU at Samaritan Hospital for their kindness and compassion.
