Obituary of Michael Bianco

Michael L. Bianco

Watervliet- Michael L. Bianco passed away peacefully on September 11, 2018.  Michael was the son of the late Frank and Gelsomina Napolitano Bianco and was the loving husband of the late Josephine DiModugno. 

Michael was retired from the NYS Division for Youth and was a member of St. Augustine’s Church in North Troy.  Mike loved his hometown city of Troy and his neighborhood of Washington Park.  His joy was in walking the streets, playing pool at the senior center and stopping for a bagel and coffee with his best friend Nick.  An excellent billiards player and a true gentleman, he will be missed by many for his humble nature and generous acts of kindness.

Loving father of Anthony (Dawn) Bianco, Christine Bianco, Michael (Margaret) Bianco, Jr. and Lisa (Ned) Audette. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Michael was predeceased by his infant son, Frank and his sisters Frances, Mary, Lena and Rose.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Church 25 115th St., Troy on Monday 9/17 at 9:30 am.  Family and friends are invited to visit with Michael’s family on Sunday 9/16 from 3-6pm at the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home, LLC, 1855 12th   Ave, Watervliet. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Community Hospice, 310 South Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208, would be appreciated.
