Hayner, Timothy J. - Watervliet

Timothy J. Hayner of Watervliet passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones following his battle with pancreatic cancer, He was 61. Son of Vera and the late Walter Hayner.

An avid outdoor sportsman Timothy could be found fishing, hunting and competing in archery tournaments. A beloved man of the community, Tim will be remembered as a devout man and enjoyed celebrating his faith at Trinity Church in Watervliet and will be sorely missed by his close friend and faith leader Father Martin Wendell. Tim spent a lot of his time caring for others in the Trinity Church community and enjoyed volunteering by assisting others with meals and other Church outreach. Additionally, Tim was a member of the Sportsmen's club of Clifton Park and the Green Island Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to Tim's mother, he is survived by his children; Jacob Hayner and Jaclyn (Andrew) Babbage, Grandson; Riker, and siblings Dennis (Teresa) Hayner, Daniel (Theresa) Hayner, and Eileen (Eric) Minor. Tim also leaves behind his long time companion Tina Hayes.

In addition to his father, Tim is predeceased by his brothers Walter, Patrick and John Hayner and his sister Linda Schechter.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Tim's family on February 15th from 12 -2pm in Trinity Church, 1336 1st Avenue, Watervliet. A funeral service will be celebrated for Tim at 2pm with Rev. Martin Wendell officiating.
