Thomas E. Rice passed suddenly at age 57 on December 2, 2017, leaving behind his loving wife, Dina (Morris) Rice of Schenectady, NY. Son of Willard and Harriet Rice (predeceased) of Albany, NY. Other family include; brothers, Gregory Rice (Nancy) of Inverness, Fl and Stephen Rice (MaryLisa) of Latham, NY and sisters Rosemary Rice (Chuck Papa) of Mayfield, NY, Debra Eggleston (William) of Glenville, NY, and predeceased by Susan LoCurto (Anthony) of Rochester, NY. In addition there are several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends.
Tom was a graduate of Colonie High School. He lived in many places throughout his life, including Fort Lauderdale, FL and Bangor, ME. Tom was a Chargers and Giants fan, as well as a loyal Yankees fan. He went to many Yankee games with family and friends at Yankee stadium. Another lifelong passion of Tom's was music. He played many musical instruments and was in several bands, two of which were the A.D.'s and Bedrock. In addition to playing and singing, he wrote his own music and was even known to write stories and books. In recent years Tom reunited with a long-time friend, Dina, in a whirlwind romance and the two were married on Halloween night in 2013. Tom cared deeply for Dina and their reunion ushered in the happiest days of his life. Together they had 2 cats, Jerry and Josie, and a dog Charlie. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
