Thomas J. Doran

Thomas J. Doran of Wanda Court Troy, died at his home, on Sunday, January 11, 2015. Husband of Patricia "Pat" Doran. Son of the late Marion and Leo Tilley Doran. Born in Troy, he was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Parish. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Tom started his active duty prior to his high school graduation from Catholic Central High School. Following a 43 year career with NYNEX, Tom retired from his position as District Security Manager. Tom Doran, a dedicated husband, loving father, loyal son and a courageous non-judgmental friend to all. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Leo T. Doran of Menands, Thomas J. "Tim" Doran Jr. of NYC and Deborah Anne (Cathy) Doran of Albany. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Mary Rita Martin, Betty Walsh and Patricia Beale. Funeral service Friday, January 16, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. from the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home, LLC 1855 12th Ave. Watervliet, thence to St. Michael's Church, 175 Williams Road, Troy, 9:30 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday 4 -7 p.m. Entombment, Memory Gardens, Colonie.
