Watervliet, NY – Michael W. Sheehan, 73, of Watervliet, NY,  passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023, in the Albany Medical Center, surrounded by his family, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Michael was the son of the late Rosemary Van Guilder and Joseph Sheehan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Edward Sheehan, sister-in-law Lek, brother in-law and sister-in law Donald and Lynne Carpentier.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol Anne Sheehan, brother Joseph J Sheehan, sister Mary (Mike) Burniche, sister-in-law Kathy (Gordon) Carter, his daughter Vicki Lee Sheehan (Patrick Fisk), Diane Denue, Larry Alix, and grandchildren McCormick Fisk, Anthony Alix, Alix Denue, Michael Coreno, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Michael loved taking walks with his best buddy Diesel in Green Island with friends.
He was an avid fisherman, family man and NASCAR fan. He was retired from Garden
Way in Troy, NY, following 26 years of service.

At Michael’s request, there will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in Michael's memory, to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands, NY, would be appreciated.
