Watervliet - Michael J. Mero passed away unexpectedly, at home, on January 26, 2022, son of the late Robert and Peggy-Jean Mero and loving father of Danielle B. Mero. Michael is also survived by several siblings. Friends are invited to visit with Michael's family on Thursday 4-7 p.m. in the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home, LLC.

Michael Mero was the best father, brother, son, and friend anyone could ever have asked for. Son of the late Peggy Mero (Walizer) and Robert Mero Sr, loving brother to Nina Mero (Gagnon), Robert Mero Jr, George Mero, Glen Mero, Madchen Mero (Knowles), Kacey Mero, and the late Shane Mero. Husband of the late Karen Mero (Delaney). The best father that Danielle Mero could've asked for, and the best boyfriend to Korinia Ward. He leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Always going above and beyond for those he loved, caring more about others than himself. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember his kindness, his laugh, and his helpful words. He would light up whatever room he was in, and told the best jokes. He was there whenever you needed him, and will be greatly missed by all he knew.

He loved playing video games, listening to music, and he made the best art. His homemade pizzas were top tier, and he was always there if you needed a shoulder to cry on, or just a friend to talk to. He didn't have a negative word to say about anything, always taking whatever life threw at him and throwing it back ten times harder.
