Margaret Mary Grigg

Margaret Mary Grigg Watervliet-Margaret Mary Grigg, 91, of Watervliet died November 10, 2016. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Josephine (Caughlin) Ryan. Margaret was the loving wife of the late Victor Grigg. Educated in Troy Catholic Schools, Margaret was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed at the Watervliet Arsenal, working in the payroll department. Margaret was also employed at King Fuels, Socony Oil and Denbys. A longtime resident of Watervliet, she was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Mary Church. Survivors include her devoted children, Susan Grigg, Thomas (Colleen) Grigg, James (Connie) Grigg and John Grigg. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her loving son Timothy Grigg, a brother Kenneth Ryan and a sister Cecelia Smith. The family would to thank the Watervliet EMS and the 5th floor staff at Samaritan Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 2416 7th Avenue Watervliet. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home LLC 1855 12th Avenue Watervliet. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you take a moment and say a prayer for Margaret Mary.
