Lorraine D. Meichrty

The Villages FL- Lorraine Denise Meichrty, 67, formerly of Wynantskill, NY peacefully departed this life on Monday, October 11th 2021 Lorraine was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Lorraine Raymond Breiner and late Harold Breiner. She graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1972, Rutgers College of NJ in 1976, and Russell Sage College with a Masters degree. Lorraine served in the Air National Guard. She was the Co-Owner of Leo’s Overhead Doors, Inc. in Troy NY. She was also the founder of Albia Queen Bee Antiques and Albia Decorating Center in Troy as well. Lorraine was a faithful Christian with an energetic personality and a generous spirit. Lorraine’s life was as beautiful as the flowers she loved so well. Lorraine’s bold personality, influence, and works will forever remain in the lives of many especially to those who called her Wife, Mom, Mima, Daughter, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, John Meichtry, her sons Eric and his wife Valerie, Kurt and his partner Laura, her beloved grandchildren Leo, Gabrielle, Wyatt, and Chloe, her brother Harold Breiner (Carol), Sisters Betty Henderson (Bill), Anne Marie Cappola (Pete), Mary Joe Breiner, and Jeannie Corradino (Randy), and her Aunt and Uncle Nicky & Chuck Breiner. A memorial will be held Saturday, November 6th with calling from 10am until 2 pm at the Crescent Boat Club, 142 Old Canal Road, Halfmoon NY 12065, followed by a Christian service at the club at 2pm.
