Sheehan, Joseph J. –  Green Island 
Joseph J. Sheehan of Green Island passed away with his loving family by his side on Tuesday April 18th, 2023. Son of the late Joseph and Rosemary (VanGuilder) Sheehan. Beloved husband of the late Lek Sheehan. 
Joe celebrated a long 30-year career in the United States Air Force proudly serving his country, earning several honors and medals throughout his career. 
Joe is survived by his sister Mary (Michael) Burniche, sister-in-law Carol Anne Sheehan and a host of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Edward F. Sheehan and Michael W. Sheehan. 

He loved serving his country and said it was the best job because he got to travel the world.  After he retired from the Air Force he worked for NYS Department of Labor.
He loved spending time with his family celebrating holidays and having cookouts.
He was an avid Yankee fan. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing with his brother Mike on Cossayuna Lake and with his friends on the river bank, meeting with the “Liar Club” members in the park, going out to breakfast and to casinos. He had great neighbors and friends that looked out for each other. He will be truly missed by his family and friends (especially Betty Lemieur, Bob Hickey and George Clough).

Family and friends are invited and may call in the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home LLC 1855 12th Avenue Watervliet on Tuesday April 25th from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Interment will immediately follow the visitation in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 2pm.
