Tallman, John D.
Watervliet – John D. “Jack” Tallman Passed away peacefully on January 30, 2021. Born in Watervliet, Jack was the son of the late Raymond and Eileen Mahar Tallman Sr. and was the beloved husband of Hazel Conrad Tallman.
Retired from the NYS Comptroller’s Office, following a 35-year career, Jack loved spending time with his family. Jack enjoyed playing cards with Hazel, Mo and Penny, loved sports, especially the Giants. He enjoyed walking in the park with his “sidekick” Maureen Lynch and her dog Whitey. In addition to his wife Hazel, Jack is survived by his children Steven (Carolyn), Michael (Lisa), Jennifer, Kristie (Mike), Rachael (Anthony), Eric (Stephanie), Ivo (Kevin), Shannon (Raminta) and Johathan (Elizabeth). Loving brother of Peggy (John) Burns; his grandchildren, Jessica, Karissa (John), Nesta, Cassandra (Kristopher), Myles, Silas, McKean, Keiffer, Scout, Elena, Katrina, Nasim, Lily and Harper; great grandchildren, Derek, Tyler, Hunter, Natalia, Ciara, Gabriella, Landon, Brooklyn, Owen and Fedde as well as several nieces and nephews. Dear friend and former husband of Kathleen Harrington and longtime friend of Jean and Thomas Dowling. In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his brother Raymond Tallman Jr.
Family and friends are invited to visit with Jack’s family on Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, corner of 7th Avenue and 25th Street, Watervliet.
