Watervliet- Joan L. Guzek, 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Janruary 8th.  Joan was the daughter of the late Leo and Lillian Murphy Jolicoeur and beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Guzek Sr.  Survivors include her son Anthony “Tony” J. Guzek Jr. and his wife Mary Naples, her granddaughter Dana (Timothy) Guzek-Frank, her grandson Brayden P. Guzek and her sister Christine Jolicoeur Smith..  Joan is also survived by her step grandchildren Lisa Nowell M.D. and James Nowell and her four great-grandchildren, Logan, Allesandra, Maison and Abigail.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13th at 10:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 2416 7th Avenue Watervliet with Rev. Donald Rutherford officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with Joan’s family on Friday, January 12, from 5-7pm at the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home LLC, 1855 12th Avenue Watervliet. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan’s memory to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Watervliet would be appreciated.
