Janice entered into eternal life peacefully on Wednesday, September 11th surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Services were held privately at Janice's request.
Janice was a wife to Raymond Spiak, Sr.(predeceased), a loving mother to her three surviving children, Raymond D. (Susan) Spiak Jr., Peter J. (Carol) Spiak and Mark W. (Jillian) Spiak. She was a proud grandmother to her 6 grandchildren, Raymond III, Hannah, Peter, Jr., Mercy, Isabella and Roman Spiak
She was a loving sister to Alexander J. Cummings, Robert Cummings (predeceased) and Pamela Reeves and aunt to all of her nieces and nephews.
Janice will be remembered for her kind heart, free spirit and adventurous personality that would lead her to living in multiple different states and countless road trips. Her love for traveling up to Lake Luzerne and Lake George in the summer would always bring her joy. While most will never get to read her works, Janice had a love for writing and journaling and was a talented poet.
Above all, Janice will be remembered for her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While we mourn her loss, we recognize that Janice would view this merely as an address change where she gets to live eternally in heaven. While Janice had a career that spanned from working as a home health aide to providing samples at the grocery store, it was her calling from God as a Prayer Warrior that brought her the most joy. Janice had an unshakable faith, upon the passing of her husband Raymond, who she was married to for 44 beautiful years. She would regularly remark how one day she would see him again. This year they will be spending her birthday together.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in all who were blessed to know her. Donations can be made in Janice's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
