James C. Plumadore, Sr.
PLUMADORE, JAMES TROY – James “Pockets” Clifford Plumadore, of Troy, passed into eternal rest on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born May 29, 1945 in Troy N.Y., James was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Charland) Plumadore and the husband of Jean (Hillebrandt) Plumadore for 55 wonderful years. James worked as a tool attendant at General Electric for many years before retiring early. He enjoyed working on home projects and fishing with his father-in-law James. He also enjoyed music and playing guitar with his father Joseph. He took great pride in his projects and what he was able to accomplish with his band Velvet Fog, and later as his solo act Velvet Heir. James was also heavily involved in the Fraternity of Eagles organization. He was at his happiest surrounded by his large family and always had a story about his parents, siblings, children, or his grandchildren. James is survived by his children, James (Jacquelyn) Plumadore Jr., Christopher Plumadore, Michelle Plumadore; siblings, Sonny (Geraldine) Plumadore, Barbara "Sue" Derkowski, Mary-Lou Plumadore, Linda (Eddie) Gorski, Bobby (Marsha) Plumadore, Jackie (Kathy) Plumadore and Gary (Melody Williams) Plumadore; grandchildren, Brian Harden, Andrew Plumadore, Christopher Plumadore Jr., Brandon Plumadore, Cody Plumadore, Amanda Plumadore, Alexis Roe and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 310 Spring Avenue, Troy, Friday at 10:30 a.m. Friends are invited to visit with James' family at the Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Avenue, Troy, on Thursday 4-6 p.m.
