Herbert Vazquez III

Herbert Vazquez III passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2023. Beloved husband of Elizabeth H. Waterbury Vazquez and was the son of Herbert Vazquez Jr. and Mary Milone. Herbert served his country in the US Army, serving in several overseas missions.

Herbert lived a full life and enjoyed spartan races, working out, Viking history and music concerts, hiking and was very proud of his electric bike that he built. When not preparing an interesting meal, using his love of cooking, Hebert enjoyed spending time with his family and beloved pets Freya and Lucy. He will be remembered for being a kind person, always ready to help and providing a strong shoulder for others to lean on. A true nerd at heart, Herbert loved video games, comic books and was an amazing artist. Herbert enjoyed his job at Home Depot and will be missed by his many friends there.

In addition to his wife and parents, Herbert is survived by his sons, Hunter and Logan and his sisters Maria (Jim) Gormley and Sophia Vazquez. Herbert was predeceased by his beloved pup Bugsy.

Friends are invited to visit with Herbert's family on Sunday from 4-6 pm in the Konicek and Collett Funeral Home, LLC, Watervliet. Burial with full military honors with be in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Monday at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Herbert's memory to the Mohawk Hudson Humane society would be appreciated.
