Diana M Gegan

Gegan, Diana M. Troy- Diana M. Gegan 84, died at her home with her loving family at her side December 30. 2020. Daughter of the late Francis and Winifred McGrath. Diana celebrated 57 years of marriage with her beloved husband Richard J. Gegan. Diana was a big fan of dining out and will be remembered by her family and friends who enjoyed trips with her to Lake George, Hampton Beach NH, and Maine. An avid New York Yankees fan, Di could always be found rooting for her team. In her younger years she enjoyed many family events and friendships with her husband Richard at the Troy AOH. Prior to her retirement, Diana was employed by NYS Dept. of Tax and Finance and St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy. In addition to her husband Richard, Diana is survived by her children Denise (Vincent) Flynn of Cheshire CT, and David Gegan of Troy. Beloved grandmother to Ryan Flynn. Predeceased by her sister Mary Elaine. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at St. Joseph’s Church 3rd street, Troy at 9am with burial immediately following in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy. Calling hours will be held privately. Mrs. Gegan’s family would like to thank both the Troy Fire Department and EMS as well as the Troy Police Department for their compassionate care and kindness throughout Diana’s final month.
