Porter, David - Latham

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of David Paul Porter, 56, of Latham, NY. He was the son of Robert H. Porter and the late Karen B. Beach and step-mother Rosemary Fowler Porter. He is survived by three step-brothers, Chad (Christine) Fowler, Gregor (Joanne) Fowler, and Christopher (Dawn) Fowler, his nieces and nephews, Noah, Rachel, Ethan, Isabel and Jeremiah, as well as his extended family and close friends: Scott, Dawn, Amber, and Ivy.

A graduate of Shaker High School, Hudson Valley Community College, and Memorial Hospital School of Radiation Therapy Technology, David was a radiologist/x-ray technician for his entire professional career. He also enjoyed music, supporting artists in the local music scene. He was an excellent cook, preparing delicious meals for many gatherings over the years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for David on Wednesday March 20th 2024 at 11am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Family and friends are invited and may call at the church prior to the mass from 9-11am. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet.
