Clyde D. Heffner of Rensselaer passed away in Albany on May 20th with his loving family by his side. Husband of Elizabeth M. Glogowski Heffner whom he shared 65 years of marriage.
Clyde was employed by the Norton Company in Watervliet. Following his employment with Norton, Clyde went on to work for Hudson Valley Community College as a maintenance worker. He later retired from the State of New York. In his off hours Clyde was an avid fisherman and hunter. A regular attendee, Clyde could be found enjoying the stock car races at Lebanon Valley raceway and enjoyed dancing and sharing stories with those close to him.
Clyde is survived by his sons: Scott Heffner of Arizona, Doug Heffner of Washington D.C., and Timothy (Judy) Heffner of Massachusetts and his grandson Timothy (Katelyn) Stears-Heffner of New York.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 28th at 10am in St. Michael the Archangel Church 175 Williams Road, Troy. Family and friends are invited to visit with Clyde's family from 9-9:45am in the church prior to the Mass.
