Beth D. Taber Conway of Valatie Passed away on September 03, 2017 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Albany, Beth was the daughter of Neil and Dorothy Hines Taber. Beth was the wife of the late Brian J. Conway.
Raised in Altamont and graduating from Guilderland High School, she was a civilian employee of the New York State Police for fourteen years before taking time to stay at home while raising her children. She later returned to work as a school bus driver at Ichabod Crane Central, where she later retired. Beth loved traveling, especially to Maine and Hawaii. Beth held a private pilot's license, jumped off a cruise ship in the Caribbean, saw dozens of rock bands perform live and encouraged her children to view life as an adventure!
In addition to her parents who live in Altamont, Beth is survived by her children Owen Conway of Valatie and Alison (Kevin) Conway-Rudd of Glenmont, her grandson that she always called the "love of my life", Bradley Martin; her siblings Randall Taber and his wife Julie of Albany, Ronald Taber of Voorhesville, Gary Taber of Georgia, Gregory Taber of Florida, and Shelly Taber of Florida. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Beth's Children would like to thank the countless family friends who offered support especially Angela Martin, Mary Ellen Wadswoth, Meaghan and Jeff Pinkkowski and the entire 4th floor staff at Albany Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to the Valatie Rescue Squad or Niverville Fire Department would be appreciated.
