Anne T. Leadley

d. August 19, 2020

Anne Teresa (Flannery) (Wise) Leadley passed away peacefully at her home in the early evening of Wednesday, August 19, 2020 with her be-loved husband Ronald “Ron” E. Leadley, her son Darren “Ned” Wise, and step-daughter Laura (Leadley) Perkins at her side. Her determined and courageous two and one-half year battle with cancer had finally ended. Other immediate family members Anne leaves behind include her daughter Anita (Wise) (Keal) Doyle, Anita’s husband Steven Doyle, son Kieron Wise; grandsons George, Harry, and Freddie Keal; Anne’s first husband Peter Wise, and Anita’s first husband Andrew Keal. Anne also leaves behind several brothers; Denis, Billy, Paddy, Tommy, and Tony Flannery and sisters Mary (Flannery) Warner and Veronica (Flannery) Whelan. Anne is pre-deceased by her father Denis Flannery, her mother Bridget (Cahill) Flannery; brother Bernard Flannery and sister Tina (Flannery) (Tebay) Walsh. Anne was born in Longford, Ireland in 1943 and was raised in Dublin, Ireland. She left Ireland in her late teens for the United Kingdom where she joined the British Army and married her first husband Peter Wise. Anne and Peter’s children were born in England and Germany. Anne and Ron met in 1997 and were married in Oct 1999. Anne also leaves behind a step-son Kurt Leadley. Anne’s favorite interests included gardening, cooking, singing, dancing, listening to music, reading novels, ocean side walks, and traveling. She loved babies, young children, and all animals. Anne later worked in the hotel and restaurant services for years in Europe. After she moved to the USA in 1999, she began a career in the health care services for the elderly until health issues forced her retirement. Even in her retirement years, Anne continued to assist the elderly to her best abilities by volunteering at the Joan Nicole Prince Home for the terminally ill and also providing home assistance to several elderly friends. Her quick wit, lovely smile, sparkling blue eyes, Irish sense of humor, beautiful laugh, and unconditional love will be missed by all who knew her. May God bless our beautiful Anne Teresa and let her rest in eternal peace!
